The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The Human Brain
Beliefs are self-fulfilling prophecies, that tend to prove themselves to be right to the person holding them, whether they are or not. It is important that people realize just how amazing they are. To truly understand the incredible potential that they have inside them. One of the ways I like to get this point across is by showing them just what goes on in their system at the unconscious level from moment to moment. And that includes looking at the brain. The Certified NLP ( Neuro-Linguistic Programming ) Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The Triune Brain
In this lecture we discuss the incredible human brain in more detail. And as we do we discover in a very general overview the structure of the Human brain and by doing so you will understand from a physical perspective how our nonlinear unconscious mind interacts with each physical part of the brain to build up this whole system of self. The Certified NLP ( Neuro-Linguistic Programming ) Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The Learning State
In this lecture we discuss a phenomenon known as the learning state. This is a state where information pours into our unconscious mind and we soak it up like a sponge. If you’ve seen the Matrix then you will recall Neo’s ‘I know Kung Fu’ moment, well it’s a little like that when you are in the NLP learning state. And the good news is that the state is really easy to go into, and you already know how to do it. In this lecture you will learn how to put yourself in to that state at will so that you can absorb huge amounts of information easily and effortlessly. Introduction to the 5 Principals for success using NLP
These simple concepts that I am going to share with you are really very powerful, empowering, and powerful, yet simple as they are, are so often overlooked by people in their lives. And if you take on these 5 principals and commit to them you are going to see significant changes in your life, greater results, and faster results The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Know your outcome
In this lecture, I am going to share with you the foundation of the 5 Principals for success. This key point is what everything else builds on, so you might want to really take the time to fully understand this. Because as you are about to find out it, isn’t perhaps what you might think. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Take Actions
In this part we are going to look at Taking Action and how that is going to add rocket fuel to your goals and see you achieving results really quickly. This is a fundamental aspect to goal achievement and one that so easily misunderstood. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Have Sensory Acuity
Imagine, if you had an NLP machine that you could carry around with you that told you whether things were going to plan? Imagine if you could use that NLP machine to make small corrections to your path so that you avoided obstacles and maintained a steady progress to your ideal life. How good would that be? Well the good news is that you already have one and, in this lecture, I am going to show you how to put it to good use The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Have Behavioral Flexibility
In this part we are going to be looking at concept of flexible behavior or having behavioral flexibility. And if you are one of those people, that gets really stuck in, and goes for it when you start a new goal, then you might want to pay special attention to this one - because the fact is that we as human beings are creatures of habit and naturally or the most part are not comfortable with change. In this lecture we diuscuss a key principal for success so that you can adapt, and respond to your world and still maintain steady progress towards your goals. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Operate from a Physiology and Psychology of Excellences
In the previous 4 key principals for success we covered quite a lot of big stuff, however without this final key you’re going to make hard work of achieving your goals. All of these keys need to be present for you to easily achieve your goals. Yet it’s this one, operate from a Physiology and Psychology of excellence that is the one that will let you know just how serious you or your client are about achieving your goals as an NLP Practitioner. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
State Vs Goal
In this lecture, I want to talk to you about an important aspect of goal setting that I see people getting wrong so many times. And it is so common that you really want to understand this lecture to be able to spot it in others when you are meeting or working with them. And this is the distinction between State and Goal The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The Keys to an Achievable Outcome
Introduction to the Keys to an Achievable Outcome
When you combine the keys to an achievable outcome with what you have learned already in the 5 Principals for success, you will be in a really good place for setting your goals and knowing that you will achieve them. The process we are working through in this Section of the NLP Practitioner training is the same process that you want to use when working with NLP clients as well. In this lecture we are going to go through the keys to an achievable outcome and then we will be well positioned to actually construct SMART goals. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Stated in the Positive
In this lecture, we are going to look at the first of the keys to an achievable outcome and that is that the goal needs to be stated in the positive. The goal is to get you to a point where you can start creating your own goals correctly as quickly as possible. This is a process that as an NLP Practitioner you will want to get used to doing The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Towards and Away From Motivation
This lecture is a stand alone brief discussion on Motivation as far as NLP is concerned and why that is useful to you as an NLP(neuro Linguistic Programming) practitioner and it follows on nicely from the Stated in the positive key we just looked at when we have discussed towards and away from motivation we will carry on with the keys to an achievable outcome. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Specify Present situation
Key number 2 - Specify present situation.Part of successful goal setting and achievement is not only knowing where you want to get to but also knowing where are currently. This is really important in determining whether or not a goal is realistic or not. You will hear a lot of personal development folk yelling ‘anything is possible’ that you can do anything if you put your mind to it etc. etc. And I tend to agree with that. However a lot of those guys miss the point a little. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Specify Outcome
Specify your outcome. The simple fact of the matter is, if you don’t know where you are going, you are unlikely to arrive there. You have heard it said in many different ways before I am sure, and it is so true, imagine a game of soccer with no goals, archery without a target. Imagine getting in a car and just driving, with no destination or map and see how you get on. The point is, that in order to move forward you must have a goal to achieve and you need to be able to specify that goal clearly and concisely. In this lecture we take a look at how we might do that. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Specify Evidence Procedure
Ok, so onto the 4th key, - Specify Evidence Procedure so what does that mean? Well the question that you will want to be asking yourself and indeed any client that you are working with. ‘How will I know that I am achieving my goal or have achieved my goal” what evidence will there be along the way, and when you have achieved your goal that will make it absolutely undeniable. Lets take a look. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Be sure it is congruent and desirable
For you to be successful in achieving it the outcome or goal must be congruent with your entire system. In NLP when we talk about congruency, we are referring to the physiology that accompanies our externalized dreams or goals. So lets discover what that means. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Is it self initiated or self maintained
In NLP we ask ‘Is your goal self-initiated or self-maintained'. This is so very important when you are seeing goals and I confess that I have made a number of mistakes around this key over the years and have kicked myself each time for doing it. The point is that you must take full and complete ownership of your goal. And that means that for a goal to be truly achievable and viable, it must be initiated by you, so it must be YOUR goal and not someone else’s. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Is it appropriately contextulalised
Is your goal appropriately contextualized. This requires you to run out in time and try on the achievement of your goal. Only this time, we are approaching the outcome or goal in the context of meaning. Does the goal you have and the picture of it in your mind tick all of the correct boxes, and does it make sense in context so lets take a look at how we do that now. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
What resources are needed
The next key in the list of keys to an achievable outcome is to identify the resources that are needed. There are many different types of resources, for example time, money, material things like equipment, software, machinery etc. and there are less tangible items as well such as a positive attitude, confidence, creativity etc. So to give your goal the best chance of success this key is crucial if you want to really get things going in the right direction. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Is it ecological
Ecology is the study of consequences. It links also to the cause and effect equation and responsibility.Whether you like it or not, everything you do, affects something else, physically mentally spiritually, energetically. And The study of ecology gets you to consider the consequences of the pursuit of your goal and its ultimate achievement. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Logical levels
Logical levels
Something that is going to make sure that you cruise towards success in achieving your goal is if your entire system is working in harmony. If there is congruence if your physiology matches your words and behaviors etc. So that’s what I want to show you now logical levels or neurological levels describes the areas of our being that all need to be in harmony if we are to achieve anything easily. So let’s get to it. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
SMART Goals
Introduction to SMART Goals
In this section, we are going to be looking at goal setting and achievement as an NLP Pracitioner. You may very well have heard of SMART goals before,.In this section I am going to share with you the ultimate way of writing goals that engages the unconscious mind, works with your motivation and creates such a compelling, exciting and empowering goal that your unconscious mind will chase after it and get it for you. As an NLP Practitioner it is this process that you will be using when working with others. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Matt's 5 Block Buster
Stages of competency 1 & 2
When we are learning any new skill or topic there are a number of stages that we go through before we can say that we are fully competent. You have probably heard the phrase practice makes perfect and that is of course true. In NLP we can use modeling to model the skills, thought patterns and values and beliefs of another person so that we can fast track the route to competency. And whilst this improves our performance massively these 4 stages of competency as we refer to them in NLP still need to be gone through before we are totally competent in a specific area. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Stages of Competency 3 & 4
Playing an instrument is a perfect example of how we transition through the different stages to the ultimate unconscious competence that we are aiming for. In this lecture I am going to share with you what I have called the expert paradox which is something potentially negative that you may have to deal with when people achieve unconscious competence The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The Expert Paradox
I thought this would be best as a standalone lecture because you may find it useful, and in fact I have taken this lecture pretty much straight of one of my instructor coaching programs so let’s get started and see if you recognize the expert paradox at work in your life. vThe Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
be SMART about goal setting
By now you are well ready now to get all of your goals rocking and rolling and if you stop and think about it pretty much everything we do is based around the setting and achievement of goals and we already set goals in every area of our life, in our relationships, our businesses the work or job that we do, our health and fitness, everything. So lets look at this in a bit more detail now. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Specific
Ask yourself is your goal really specific? For example, If I was going to take on your goal, if I was to go and achieve it for you, would I know precisely what it is you want with the way you are describing it to yourself. Would you be able to outsource your goal to me, leave it, forget about it and wait for me to deliver it up exactly as you want it? Well maybe although my experience tells me probably not. So let’s see why in this lecture. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Specifically defining your goal
In this lecture, we are going to look at how to take a top-level goal and turn it into something really specific and in doing so we will further increase our chances of completing the goal successfully. Remember later in this section I will be sharing with you an example of a well written goal, and what you are doing now is building up all of the components of that goal so that you can stitch them all together in to one all-encompassing goal at the end of this section. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Getting specific about your success environment
In this lecture and the next few coming up, we are going to dig a little deeper into how to make your goals more specific. Staring with setting the scene. And if you recall one of the most useful ways of doing this is to float out to a time in the future and actually experience the successful conclusion of your goal. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
A little help from my friends
In this letcure I want to reinforce the point here that whilst you need to have full responsibility for your goal and your goal needs to be 100% for you and maintained by you. That doesn’t mean you have to do everything alone The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Why do you even want your goal
In this session, we are going to go a little deeper into the concept of why you even want to achieve your goal in the first place from an NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming Perspective.. And it’s really important that you know this clearly and that you understand the real reasons. And this will then conclude this part on getting specific about your goal and we can then move on to the M of the SMART goals process which stands for measurable and I have a few little tricks for you to keep you on track with your goal in there as well so let’s get going. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Measurable
In this lecture we continue on all the way through to the next lecture by looking at the M of SMART which stand for measurable. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Control Variables
The fact of the matter is that if you have set your goal up correctly then in truth you don't really need to measure it. However it can server as a useful tool for boosting motivation and you might find it interesting to see how the whole thing unfolds. And in fact I have a slightly different take on the measurement of your goals that is much more cause oriented so let’s take a look. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The sub Goal Paradox
This lecture follows on from the previous session on control variables sub goals. As we have already determined. To reach a goal there are a lot of things that need to come together before that system delivers up the result. The completed goal. And often times… we are told that we need to break a big goal down into smaller component parts. However, as you are about to find out, many of these sub goals, might not be sub goals at all and could be individual goals that run concurrently with others. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
A journal for your future history
What I am going to share with you now is something that I do every day to get stuff done and keep on moving towards may goals, and I find it really useful not least as it is a repository for ideas which ultimately become new goals in most cases anyway. And I think it’s something that will help you very much as well. Especially to be able to spot those control variables that I mentioned to you earlier. And that is to keep a journal. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The power of your calendar
In this lecture I am going to share with you now is a different way of managing your tasks and your to do list. This is something I started doing a few years ago and its stuck and it’s what has helped me to get a whole load of my goals achieved in good time and without burning out. And it goes against a lot of things you may have heard as the first thing you need to do is bin task lists. Let’s take a look. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Ratings and Rankings
In this session I want to share with you something that I picked up from Steven Coveys 7 habits of highly effective people and has really helped me in determining what is important and what isn’t and how to measure the effectiveness of my efforts so I guess in this lecture we are beginning to cross over into action a little however, what you will find from doing this process is that you will very quickly get a feel for what is working and what isn’t and how effective you are being in achieving your goals. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Action Based
In this lecture carry on now through to the next lecture and look at the A of the smart model which actually stands for a number of things and I tend to mix these up based on my intuition when I am working with other people however for this course lets go through each of these as they are all highly relevant. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Steps for taking action
In this part, we are going to look at Taking Action. Look what I am giving you now is not rocket science, however, it is often easy to mix up being very busy with real focused action that is going to drive you forward towards your goal. So lets take a look so you will understand how all this fits together. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Jumping ladders
In this lecture we continue on with Action. Now when you have a goal in mind, there is always a whole load of stuff to get done. And so far, we have spoken about a number of things that you can do to keep a track of your goal and to measure how effective your efforts are. And what I want to share with you now Is a bit of a stretch for most people, and I truly believe it is how you manifest your goals in the quickest way possible. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Get over the fear of taking action
In this session, we are going to look at a common ‘issue’ that people say they have when working with goals and that is that simply get afraid when it comes to taking action and again, that doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with someone because they feel that way, it simply means that they are a human being. However, fear of any kind is going to hold you back and prevent you from realizing your potential. So what can you do about it. Let’s take a look. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Leverage accountability
The very best person to be accountable to is yourself. To be at cause for everything that happens in your life. AND there is no harm especially in the early days of putting yourself out there and making yourself accountable to other people. In essence this is why coaching works so well… or at least one of the reasons it does. A coach will hold you accountable for the things you state you are going to do and will provide encouragement along the way as well. Of course they can’t actually do the work for you though and so at the end of the day it’s down to you. Now if you are like a fair amount of people out there. That sentence… it’s all down to you… can be a bit scary. And again that’s normal, remember if you are like most folk out there, you probably haven't been looking at things through this lens or at least haven't for a while. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
REALISTIC
In this lecture we are going to be looking at the idea that our goals need to be realistic. Which I think you are going to find really interesting. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
TIME BASED
In this lecture, we are going to look into the concept that a SMART goal needs to be timed. That is that there needs to be a definite time for completion or achievement of that goal. And I promise you there will be no more sporting analogies. So lest get into it. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
When will you have achieved it
In this lecture, we are going to go look into a little more detail the time frame that you set for your goal and why it is so important. Now to recap on this, it you don’t know where you are going you are to go to get there and that includes the by when date. So what I would like to show you is the importance of how you define the due date for your goal. And the distinction between a fixed date and a by then date. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Pre-suppositions of NLP
Introduction to the Pre-suppositions of NLP
In this section, I am going to be showing you the Presuppositions of NLP. Now you may remember when we were discussing what NLP is I referred to it as an attitude of curiosity. And that is true, and I think it’s fair to say that as an NLP practitioner attitude is an important part of being successful in your work. If you remember we went through the ‘What is NLP really’ lecture earlier in the course well that opinion of what NLP is really comes from these Presuppositions. There are much deeper more philosophical explanations of what NLP is all about really. These are beliefs for the most part that if you take on board will assets you in your life and assist you in becoming a great NLP Practitioner. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
1. Respect for the other persons model of the world
I like to say that one of the things we all have in common is our uniqueness. And it’s true, we may share a lot of similarities with the people that we meet, we may well get bunched into groups of people and get labeled as British, European, White black, Asian. And a whole load of other labels as well. But the fact of the matter is. You are a one off, and there is no one the same as you anywhere on the planet. So lets look a little deeper into this whole idea of respecting the other persons model of the world. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
2. Behavior and change should be evaluated in context and with ecology
Next up, number 2 Behavior and change are to be evaluated in terms of context and ecology. As NLP Practitioners, we need to be careful when we are working with our clients that they don’t inadvertently cause themselves additional issues. So lets take a look at how we do that. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
3. Resistance in a client is a sign of a lack of rapport
The next presupposition states that Resistance in a client is a lack of rapport, In NLP we say, there are no resistant clients, only inflexible communicators. So What do we mean by that.? Well, to be a really effective communicator involves, assuming responsibility for the communication. And by that, I mean 100% responsibility for the communication, how it is received, how well it flows, and whether or not it reaches the goal of that communication. 4. People are not their behaviours
In this lecture I am going to offer my own addendum to this presupposition which is how I have been able to accept this presupposition and work with it. As I confess it is the one aspect of NLP that I have wrestled with over the years. So as I say some people may find this a little tough to get their head around and the thing is this, behavior is what people do, not who people are, and very often we will hear people being labelled with a behavior, equating the behavior with the person as if the two things are the same. And of course they are not The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
5. Everyone is doing the best they can with the resources available to them
5 - Everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have available to them. And again this presupposition needs to be considered fairly carefully to understand it. As on the face of it it can seem to contradict another presupposition which states that everyone has the resources they need to be a success and achieve their goal. So you might be thinking to yourself, well if everyone has all the resources they need, and they are doing their best with this resource they have - well how can that possibly make sense… The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
6. Calibrate on Behaviour
When we are working with someone using NLP the only thing that we have as an indicator or barometer to what is going on in a client’s thinking, the internal representations they have is the outwardly noticeable behavior that they are producing in that moment. And as an observer, we can’t without communicating or specific questioning understand the client’s filters, values and beliefs, so all we have at this point is their behaviors as a reference. Which is why of course it is so important to have sensory acuity, why it is so important to get into Rapport with the client and essential to have a real connection to the client that we are working with, we want to be able to try on the client’s model of the world, to shift our perspective so that we view the world through the client’s lens and try on their values and belief systems so that we can fully guide them where they want to go. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
7. The Map is not the territory
You will hear this a lot in the work of NLP and that is that the Map is not the territory. It’s an awesome statement which if you think about it for a while will start to have some real meaning to you and it’s something that we can apply to the world of NLP coaching really easily. Now The map is not the territory, is a phrase coined by Alfred Korzybski, in his book science and sanity. So what do we mean when we say that the map is not the territory. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
8. You are in charge of your mind and therefore your results
Next on this list of NLP presupposition states that you are in charge of your mind and therefore your results. Now This makes good logical sense if you stop and think about it for a moment. When you consider this it is fairly clear that No-one can control the way you think, no one can form the internal representations you have for you and therefore the behavior and results you produce are created by you, they are yours and yours alone. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
9. People have all the resources they need to achieve their outcomes
People have all the resources they need to be a success and to achieve. The simple fact of the matter is that there are no limits, with the exception of the limits that are self-imposed, to what you can achieve, and you have inside of you all of the power, resources and energy - everything you need to be success in whatever you choose to do in your personal life, your work or business and your relationships health and fitness and so on. Within each and every single person, young or old, male or female, is an abundance of energy, an unlimited potential, a boundless creativity that when it is awoken will enable anyone to achieve absolutely anything at all. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
10. All procedures should increase wholeness
In this lecture, I want to talk to you about how all procedures should increase wholeness. When a client is operating with internal conflicts or self-imposed limiting beliefs, by default they are not operating at their best or operating in alignment with their true innate purpose in life. They are not striding forward to the life of their dreams, not living the life they deserve and not attracting the abundance of wealth, success and happiness that is there just waiting for them. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
11. There is no failure only feedback
There is no Failure only feedback. As human beings we are incredible, unlimited learning machines, we start from a very early age like a sponge waiting to absorb as much knowledge as can be thrown our way, and over a few years, and with very little help from anyone else we learn to walk and talk, reason, argue.... In fact we learn a lot and very quickly. and one of the things I love to do it to remind people of a couple of the most incredible things they have already achieved. And of course if you are taking this program, then you have also, already achieved so much, so many amazing things, things you might not even attempt today, and maybe you didn't even realize just how amazing you were and are till now. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
12. The meaning of communication is the response you get
These presuppositions are coming together to create an incredibly powerful set of beliefs that if you take on board will help anyone to be the best they can be and will help an NLP practitioner to pull out the best in their clients? This to me is where NLP has its power, when you combine these presuppositions with the cause and effect equation then you have the foundations of Success with NLP The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
13. The law of requisite variety
The Law of Requisite Variety - This law states that the person or system with the most flexibility will control the system. Now when we talk about control, we are not talking about forcing people to do things they don’t want or manipulation in any way. What we are referring to is the person who is most flexible in their communication will control the level of effectiveness of that communication. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
14. All procedures should be designed to increase choice
In NLP we are not interested in telling people how to run their lives, and I think it’s important to remember that as That would in itself be dis empowering. I have come across a lot and I do mean a lot of NLP practitioners, coaches, mentors who believe that they can ‘fix’ people. In fact there is a very famous stage hypnotherapist who believes he can ‘make you’ one thing or another. Well I don’t believe that is the case at all. The Prime Directives of the Unconscious mind
Overview of the Prime directives of the unconscious mind
In this section we look at the powerhouse that you have at your disposal to shape your life, see yourself achieving greatness and begin to live with an abundance of personal power. Now Whether you know it or not you are in possession of an amazing piece of kit. Your unconscious mind, and it is responsible for way more than you probably realize. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
1. Unconscious mind stores all memories
The unconscious mind is where we are looking at the moment and if you recall the unconscious mind operates in accordance with a set of prime directives to the first of the prime directives of the unconscious mind. That being that the unconscious mind stores all of your memories. And as we are about to find out, you store a lot more memories, vividly accurately and with immense detail than you might realize. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
2. The unconscious mind is the domain of the emotions
The incredible unconscious mind diligently stores every single memory across our whole system and I trust that you now have a feel for how it is possible to quite literally and even physically change your past and your perception of it so that it creates new feelings and emotions. And on that subject, we are going to in this lecture look at the second prime directive of the unconscious mind and that is that the Unconscious mind is the domain of the emotions. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
3. The unconscious mind organises all emotions
In the previous lecture we saw how the unconscious mind is the domain of the emotions, which builds on the memory storage of the unconscious mind so let’s look at how the unconscious mind organizes memories now and then we will get to an important lecture on memory repression and a strange phenomenon that occurs when people start to achieve amazing things. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
4. The unconscious mind represses memories with unresolved negative emotions
This next lecture, and the ones following are very important if you are going to be working with clients because it will help you to understand a very common situation with clients, and that is the situation when a client says to you ‘I just don’t know what’s wrong with me I just feel so. X y or z’. When you experience this then there is a very strong chance that the unconscious mind has chosen to repress memories. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
5. May present repressed memories for resolution
In this lecture I am going to share a phenomenon with you that I can pretty much guarantee you will come up against when you are working with clients at some point in your career. And if you are not aware of this seemingly strange phenomenon it can come as a bit of a surprise to both you and your client. So the unconscious mind presents repressed memories for resolution What exactly is all that about The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
6. Unconscious minds may keep memories repressed
In the previous lecture I showed you and we talked about how the unconscious mind may represent negative emotions to you consciously precisely when everything seems to be going really well. And sometimes this can be with a short space of time after your client has been to see you. So if you get the situation where your client rings you sob and says, ‘I don’t understand it, after our session I was really fired up and then boom out of nowhere This issue came up from years ago which I thought I was over.’ Then you will know why., The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
7. The Unconscious mind runs the body
As we build up this picture of the unconscious mind and the incredible power that it and you have within you, it’s well worth taking a moment to consciously acknowledge all of the things that the unconscious mind does. Because by its very nature the unconscious mind is out of our everyday awareness and as such it is easy to take it for granted and not use it to the best of its ability. In this lecture we dig a little deeper into some of the other physical things your unconscious mind controls for you. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
8. The Unconscious mind preserves the body and the integrity of the body
In the previous lecture we discussed the incredible way in which the unconscious mind runs the body and looked at some of those unconscious processes that we take for granted, such as breathing and pumping blood around our system and of course, within the body as I mentioned before there is a whole load of physical stuff, all the component parts of the body that make up the whole system of a human being. And you can think of the unconscious mind very much as the maintenance manager of your physical body. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
9. The Unconscious mind is a highly moral being
In the last few lectures we have looked at the physical aspects of our system that are controlled by the unconscious mind and I am sure you will agree it is quite amazing just what goes on without our conscious knowledge. Well the unconscious mind also manages the way in which we create the internal representations that we have been referring to. And in this lecture, we are going to discuss how the unconscious mind is a highly moral being. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
10. Unconscious minds need clear instructions to follow
In this lecture, I want to show you an important concept when working with the unconscious mind and that is that the unconscious mind needs clear instructions to follow, and by that, I mean very clear instructions to follow. Because the unconscious mind operates very differently to the conscious mind, the unconscious mind doesn’t like to deal with logic or reason and very much prefers to do as it is told. So for that reason we need to be very careful what we say to the unconscious mind. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
11. Controls and maintains perceptions
If you hadn't realized the previous lecture was a very important one. To operate at our peak we must always be very aware of the things that we are saying to the unconscious mind, the unintentional instructions that we may provide it with. So you know on those days when things are not quite what you had hoped, be careful what you say to yourself because whatever you say, your unconscious mind will take as an instruction and do everything it can to bring about that instruction as a reality. Serious stuff. Ok so let’s now look at how the unconscious mind actually controls and maintains perceptions. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
12. Generates and stores energy
In the previous lecture we spoke more about perceptions and how the unconscious mind manages these perceptions for us. And next up is the concept of energy. Now at first encounter this might sound a little bit out there however the unconscious mind has the ability to tap into the energy within us and direct it in a way that will ultimately benefit us. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
13. Maintains energy and generates new habits
In the previous lecture we looked at the mysterious topic of energy, and did you do the sub modality work on your core body temperature. I find that is a good convincer for people as they get that wave of heat across their body Now a lot of people when they hear the word habit, often associate that with bad habits, and things that they want to change. But habits are a vital part of getting what you want in life. So let’s take a look at how the unconscious mind maintains and generates new habits. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
14. Needs repetition for a new habit to be installed
Number 14 of the prime directives of the unconscious mind Your unconscious mind needs repetition until a habit is installed Now when you think about it This makes good sense, and of course the more you do something the more likely it is to become a habit and that includes engaging with your unconscious mind, living at cause, having personal power etc. There is a saying that you may have heard before and that is. ‘neurons that fire together wire together’ and, neuro plasticity as it is known states that the more you think something or do something the more hardwired the behavior or thought pattern becomes, creating new neural pathways in the neurology and allowing old ones to become redundant. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
15. Conditioned to continually seek out more
Another reason for being very careful about how you choose to communicate with your unconscious mind is that you give your unconscious mind instructions all the time, and your unconscious mind will look for as many ways to back up the instructions you give it, seeking out evidence that is otherwise wouldn’t have even considered. However it doesn't stop there as we are about to find out. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
16. Functions best as a whole integrated unit
So far, I have been talking very much about integrity and wholeness. And by that, I mean everything working in harmony together to produce an outcome that it positive and empowering. And here is the thing the unconscious mind is extremely powerful, and you will be able to craft the life of your dreams when you fully harness the power within you, AND you can still do more to ensure that your unconscious mind operates at its peak and part of that is understanding that the unconscious mind works best as a Whole integrated unit. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
17. Unconscious mind is symbolic
In this lecture, we will be looking at symbols and why they are important to the unconscious mind OK so in NLP you will very often here practitioners saying ‘do you have a picture ‘and this is a fundamental aspect of how we form our internal representations. Now if you are new to NLP and certainly if you plan on working with others, when you do so I pretty much guarantee that at some point you will meet someone who says that they can’t create a picture. So what are you going to do if and when that happens. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
18. Unconscious mind takes everything personally
This next prime directive states that the unconscious mind takes everything personally. Now this prime directive on the unconscious mind is if you like the basis of the concept we spoke about earlier in the course, that of perception is projection. And if you recall perception is projection states in its simplest terms that whatever we see externally is a reflection of ourselves at some level. So let’s take a look at what that means. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
19. Works on the principal of least resistance
20. Does not process negatives
In this lecture, we are going to be looking at the last of the Prime directives of the unconscious mind and that is that the unconscious mind does not process negatives and first of all well done for sticking through all twenty of the prime directives of the unconscious mind. These are really important if you want to truly assist people in being the best versions of themselves, so I applaud you for taking all of these in. And in our final lecture I want to show you something that a LOT and I do mean o lot of people get confused about including NLP practitioner and NLP trainers, however I am going to show you this in a way that will be easy for you to remember The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Rapport - The NLP practitioners secret persuasion weapon
Why learn about Rapport
Welcome to this section on Rapport and in this section, we are going take a look at what Rapport is, we will look at how to get into rapport with someone you are communicating with and we will look at how to gauge whether or not you are still in rapport and how to maintain that rapport with whoever it is you come into contact with be it at work or in your personal life. We will also look at some really neat tricks with rapport such as crossover mirroring and I will share with you a way of building rapport on the telephone which works every time, so if you use the phone a lot for your work, then you are going to get a lot out of that part as well. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The basis of all meaningful communication
In the previous lecture I gave some of the great reasons to learn about building rapport, and you know, rapport is such a wonderful tool that if you learn it will serve you so well in all areas of your life. It has certainly got me out of a few situations in the past and I know for a fact that it has helped me to win a lot of work over the years. So let’s carry on now and look at Rapport as the basis of all meaningful communication. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
What is Rapport
What is Rapport continued
Rapport Matching and Mirroring
A massive 93% of our communication is conducted unconsciously. And that the actual words we use make up only 7% of that communication. And that may have come as a bit of a surprise to you which is fine. And I hope that you have started to notice these things in other people as you go about you day to day. I also eluded to the process of matching and mirroring which is the NLP process that we will use to instantly establish rapport with anyone at all quickly, easily and effortlessly so that you can, become more popular, have your messages really well considered and become known as a great communicator. SO that is what we are going to be looking at in this next lecture.
What to match and mirror
Coming up we are going to go through a list of things that you can actually match or mirror to establish rapport and I have a nice mnemonic to help you remember all of that as well so let’s look into a bit more detail at the actual things that you can match and mirror.
Pacing and Leading
In this lecture, I am going to show you how you can use this newly established rapport to influence the person you are communicating with, become more persuasive, and ensure that your message gets across to them in the best possible way. So let’s take a look at Pacing and leading and towards the end of the lecture I am going to share with you a little trick for testing whether the person you are communicating with is in the optimum state for being influenced or persuaded by your communication.
Indicators of Rapport
In the previous lecture we looked at how you can lead a client to influence, persuade and communicate more effectively with them so you now know how to build rapport and I hope you have been trying out your new skills to match and mirror someone so that they unconscious get the feeling that we share a common ground with them. So how do we know we have successfully built rapport, what are the indicators of rapport and how can we spot them
Examples of matching a client
Next up lets now walk through a fairly typical scenario and see how all this could come together to result in you getting int a good rapport with someone. And in this case, we are going to take the example of walking into a business meeting and establishing rapport with someone.
Example unpacked
Crossover Mirroring
Next I want to show you something really cool that will enable you to match a person’s physiology for the purpose of building rapport really easily and covertly and then I have a challenge for you which is a lot of fun as well ok. so let’s look now at crossover mirroring.
Building Rapport on the Telephone
Next up we are going to look at how to build rapport on the phone. Now this lecture is a bonus lecture in many ways and it has been created for those people who say, “yeah this is all well and good but most of my meetings and contact with clients is done on the phone, so what am I supposed to do? - I mean I can’t match physiology on the phone, right?” which is something that has come up more than once on my training, and it’s a fair question and one that comes up a fair bit so let’s deal with that now, because the good news is that you can absolute build rapport on the phone, and you can do it very quickly and very easily by following just a few simple processes.
More on building rapport
Sensory acuity - in NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming
Overview of sensory acuity
HI there and welcome back to this brand-new section on sensory acuity. And in this section, you are going to learn and develop the ability to notice subtle changes that happen in a person’s physiology when they are communicating which may have some meaning and give clues to that person’s internal representation. When you are working in NLP sensory acuity is one of the skills you will be using all of the time, whether you are a coach, or if you are planning on using NLP in a therapeutic environment. And it is an incredibly useful skill to develop and one that you will find useful in loads of different contexts including your relationships and also general conversation with the people that you meet. So grab a pen get comfortable and let’s get started on learning sensory acuity. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Calibration
This one skill can help you to really improve your success in life, with clients and as an NLP Practitioner. And it all begins with something called calibration The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
BLESS
Let’s take a look at the typical indicators that signal a change in internal representation or a change in thinking, and these are the slight physiological signals that we can easily pick up on if we are using peripheral vision. Remember though that this is a list of the most common changes that you can spot, however it isn't everything ok. Although if you commit these to memory you will be well on your way to getting good at sensory acuity and the good news is that I have a linguistic tool for you to remember that will help you along. So let’s look at BLESS as an overview and then we will drill down into each one and get more detail in some short and snappy lectures. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Breathing
Hey welcome back and welcome to this more detailed look at breathing from a sensory acuity perceptive. Now I mentioned before breathing is a really great indicator that there has been a change in the client’s internal representation. If you are in rapport and you have matched the clients breathing, then you will easily spot a shift in their internal representation and then you will be able to act accordingly. And there are a few things that you can look out for in the clients breathing that will stand out and help you to identify a change in thinking, and in fact some of these are covered in Rapport as well. So let’s take a look at them now. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Lower lip size
In the previous lecture we looked at the B of the BLESS model which as you know stands for breathing and I suggest you go and try spotting shifts in peoples breathing as you are talking to them, its actually pretty easy OK so now we are going to move on to the next letter in the BLESS model and that is the letter L which stands for Lower lip size. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Eyes
In the previous lecture we looked at the L of the Bless model which if you recall stood for lower lip size. And you can easily spot physiological changes in the lips that can be associated to a particular state. And again I suggest you have a play with this and chat to some friends or family and just become aware of the changes in the lower lip size as you do so and see if you can associate a state to these. OK so on to this part the next letter in the BLESS model and that is the E for EYES. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Skin Colour
If you recall we started with B for breathing and we looked at the types of shift you can look out for in a person’s breathing, then we looked at the lower lip size and the tightness of the lips which again can be linked to an internal state. Then we looked at the eyes and how the pupils may dilate and other changes that may signify a change in the internal representation and now let’s look at the next letter in the BLESS model and that is the S of skin color. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Skin Tonus
The BLESS model is something that will serve you well so be sure to keep it in mind, you now have some great tools already for understanding other people so let’s move on to the final letter in our BLESS model the S of skin tonus. And then I will show you a little exercise that will prove to you that you can quite literally read someone’s mind when you get good at all this stuff we have been covering. OK so let’s get to it, the S of the BLESS model Skin tonus. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Sensory Acuity - Use the skill
Representational Systems
Introduction to Representational Systems
Now we are going to move on to another really interesting topic in NLP and that is representational systems. And when we have that nicely wrapped up we will move on to a technique that you can learn a skill that you can develop that will enable you to tell what someone’s representational system Is by simply talking with them and looking at what is going on with their eyes. That’s coming up and just imagine how good it will be to communicate with someone and know exactly how to construct your communication so that you know what you are saying or showing people will at the very least be seriously considered but first… I have a little exercise for you so let’s get started. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The Representational System Preference Test
In this lecture we find out what it all means and then I will show you how you can elicit or discover someone else's representational system preference just by looking at the movement of their eyes. So let’s get to it. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Predicates
Now that you have completed the representational system preference test you will have a fairly good idea as to which preference you have. Be it Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic or Auditory Digital. So let’s go through something now called predicates and we will start with what they are and give you some examples of predicates commonly used and how they relate to someone’s preferred representational system and then. We will go through how you can actually use these with other people. Imagine how useful it will be to really connect with others by using language that really does appeal to their unconscious mind. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Predicate Phrases
In the previous lecture we spoke about and I showed you predicates and how you can use words that relate to a client preferred representational system to get a better response from them and to reduce resistance in that client. SO let’s just run through predicate phrases and I will give you a few examples of predicate phrases that you might adapt and that will give you an idea about how to use these with people. let’s take a look. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Body Posture
As we carry on with our journey into representational systems. Now in the previous lecture I showed you predicates and predicate phrases that you can use and adapt for your own purposes. Now if you recall whenever we process information we change our internal representations and this in turn has a n impact on our physiology. And it just so happens that there are some fairly typical physiological traits that can be associated to representations systems. Which means of course that without even saying a single word, it is absolutely possible to tell what someone’s preferred rep system is just by observing their physiology which is what I am going to share with you now. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Eye Patterns
Overview of Eye Patterns
What I want to show you in the next few lectures are an awesome technique that you have most probably heard of or may not have heard of, either way it’s pretty cool. You may or may not have noticed before and of course you will from now on, that when people are talking they tend to move their eyes in certain ways. If you are like most people you probably haven’t given that a lot of thought until now. However, those eye movements can tell us a lot about how someone is processing information in their mind. Can you imagine how useful that could be? The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Determining Normally and reverse organised
Welcome to this lecture in which we take a look at normally and reverse organization as a concept so that you can learn how to easily spot which preference someone uses. And then towards the end of the lecture we will look at busting a couple of myths around eye patterns as well. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Eye Pattern Quadrants
Eliciting Eye Patterns - constructed states
In this lecture we look at how we might elicit, or discover the eye patterns of someone and confirm whether they are normally, or reverse organize. When you are working with NLP you will need to determine this early on with a client. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Eliciting Eye Patterns Recalled states
In the previous lecture we looked at eliciting eye patterns with constructed states, so let’s move forward now and look at how we might do the same thing only with Recalled states. And again, remember we want to be sure that we identify normally or reverse organization as well. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Submodalities
Introduction to Submodalities
The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Submodalities continued
In this lecture I am going to show you some of the sub-modality techniques we use in NLP and how you can apply them to your life and with clients to get some great results. So I am going to give you an overview of all of the sub-modality techniques and why they are so useful and then we take a look at actually applying some of this stuff. Such as the like to dislike script for example now just imagine if you could take something that you like but wish you didn't, like maybe a certain food stuff, and could turn it instantly into something you no longer cared for. Wouldn't that be cool? Well that is coming up… but first! Contrastive analysis. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Submodalities continued More on drivers
This lecture is a further discussion on the triggers and drivers that kick off the sub-modality distinctions we covered in the previous lecture and what exactly it is that happens to make those differences inside of you actually start to happen. In the previous lecture we touched upon drivers are and how you can manipulate sub-modalities to change internal representations and therefore outcomes so in this lecture we will dig a little deeper and then I will show you how to actually elicit these in a therapeutic session and record them so that you can actually use them by mapping across the sub-modalities and get incredible instant changes in thinking both for yourself and others. I will also bust a myth and let you into a little secret that you probably wont hear anywhere else. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The submodality Checklist
Remember the phrase ‘do you have a picture’ and how that is the only phrase to use if you want to get good results with sub-modalities. And now we are going to go through the sub-modality checklist which will be your tool for eliciting a client’s sub-modalities. So if you haven't already done so, go ahead and download the sub-modality checklist and let’s get to it. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Submodality Like to dislike
This is the sub-modality like to dislike technique where we are able to take for an example an item of food that someone likes yet wishes that they didn't and a food item that they don't like and change the sub-modalities of the food item they like but wish they didn't to match the sub-modalities of the food item that they don't like so that that they no longer like the food that that they like but wish they didn't. So for example if we use chocolate and cheese, assuming the client loves chocolate and dislikes cheese. By the time we are done the client will dislike chocolate as much as they currently dislike cheese. OK so in the resources you will see the sub-modality like to dislike script. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Submodalities drivers and contrastive analysis
In the previous lecture we went through the like to dislike script and I showed you how to elicit the sub-modalities of a certain thing and to record it on your sub-modality checklist. And as promised in this lecture we will go through the next stage in the like to dislike process. And I am going to start with the process of contrastive analysis so that we can identify the drivers and sub-modality distinctions. So if you have your sub-modality checklist to hand, get it at the ready and let’s get started. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Submodality Mapping across
Can you do NLP on yourself
By now you have learned about sub-modalities, we have been through the sub-modality checklist, I have explained contrastive analysis to you and then I showed you how to map across the sub-modalities of one item to another to change the way we feel about one of those items. And in this lecture, I just wanted to answer a question that often comes up at about this time during my courses. And that is can you do NLP on yourself. Well I am going to give you my opinion on this now and its fairly controversial I suppose. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Developmental period and beliefs
In the previous lecture we looked at whether it is possible to do NLP on yourself, and I think at the very least you should be doing your best to shouldn't you! AND if you want to get the best results possible I suggest you meet with a certified NLP practitioner and coach who is experienced in helping with these things. AND of course a lot of it depends on your belief system, if you believe that you can absolutely get good results working on yourself then you are more likely to get them. So whilst we are on the subject of beliefs lets dig a little deeper into the beliefs and how they are formed now. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Submodality belief change script
Now we are going to get into one of the most popular and most powerful techniques that we learn at NLP practitioner level. The sub-modality belief change. And the sub-modality belief change is as it sounds, it is a sub-modality intervention that allows us to remove an old limiting belief and to install a new belief that is empowering and positive. So why would you want to learn about the sub-modality belief change. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Submodality belief change part 2
In the previous lecture we looked at the overview of the process of the sub-modality belief change and talked a little about the universal belief. SO now it’s time to actually go through the sub-modality belief change script and show you how all of this fit together, so, if you haven't done so already, you may find it useful to have the sub-modality belief change script to hand and then let’s get started. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Swish Patterns
Swish Patterns: Steps
Now that we have a really good overview of the amazing swish pattern technique, what I would like to do now is walk you through each of the steps to producing a successful intervention using the swish pattern, so if you have your script to hand then that might be quite useful, and you can run through that at the same time. Ok so let’s get to it. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP

Linguistic Pre-suppositions
Introduction to the Language section
Welcome to this really important section on Language and of course language is key to success in NLP as I said before it is after-all the L of NLP - linguistic. And I think it’s important to remember this when you are learning all these techniques and principals, because your language and the language of your client can a) really influence your results as an NLP Practitioner and b) give you amazing clues as to what is going on and what is happening with a client. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Introduction to Linguistic presuppositions
In the previous lecture we looked at the topic of language and how that plays a part in NLP so the first topic in the language section that we are going to take a look at it Linguistic presuppositions and these presuppositions are going to give you a lot of insight, into what your clients are really communicating when they come to you with a presenting problem The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Existence
Coming up we will be going through the entire list of the linguistic presuppositions. Of which there are 9 in total. So here goes, lets walk you through each one of the linguistic presuppositions and tell you what each of them mean. As well as giving you some tip offs, clues as to what pre-supposition is present in the sentence. I think it is worth mentioning up front that in a typical sentence there can be many presuppositions, and as an NLP practitioner our job is to identify the most significant, or if you like the major presupposition within the sentence The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Presupposition of possibility impossibility & necessity
The second of the linguistic presuppositions that you want to listen out for when you are dealing with clients is the presupposition of possibility impossibility and necessity. And why would you do that, well remember you are an NLP Practitioner and one of the first things you need to do when you are working with someone is respect their model of the world and that means you need to understand where they are NOW before you can expect to have any results with them. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Cause and effect
In the previous lecture we looked at the presuppositions on possibility impossibility and necessity. And remember to keep an eye and ear out for these when you are dealing with people and next up we have the presupposition of cause and effect and these are the ones that you really want to keep on your radar, its noticing these presuppositions of cause and effect that can lead to either an ok result or the awesome, exciting result that both you and your client are looking for… The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Complex Equivalence
In the previous lecture we looked at the presupposition of cause and effect and how we can spot indicators that tell us on which side of the cause and effect equation so let’s now take a look at the next in our list and that is Complex equivalence which is a very common language pattern that people use when they label themselves and limit themselves through the labels that they use. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Awareness
In the previous lecture I showed you the presupposition of the Complex equivalence. And remember the word means, is probably the best tip off to the presence of a complex equivalence. So in this lecture we are going to look at the presupposition of awareness, which is very straight forward and of course particularly useful by their absence as you are just about to find out. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Temporal pre-suppositions
In the previous lectures we looked at the complex equivalences and presuppositions of awareness and how a client may equate one thing with another. Now just before we cover temporal presuppositions which I have using all the way through this course as they are one of my favorites. I just want to reiterate the importance of spotting these complex equivalences and to also spot opportunities to leverage the sensory words used by a client. Especially when people equate states with identity. For example ‘I am depressed’ which equates depression to the actual person. These can be really negative if left unchallenged as they leave very little options for the client which is why these states are often the big one’s people feel they have to deal with. SO if you spot these, I am depressed, I am fed up, I am lazy etc. etc. then be sure to challenge these - temporal presuppositions are used to create distance from issues through a reference to time. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Adjectives and Adverbs
Let’s continue on now with our study into the linguistic presuppositions in NLP. And we have just looked at temporal presuppositions and how you can shift some energy and create some distance between your and an event by using these and I am sure you will agree they are pretty cool, so Now let’s look at Adjectives and adverbs what they are and how you can utilize them as an NLP Practitioner. OK then so adjectives and adverbs: And first of all I will explain the difference to you and then we will have a look at what to spot, what the tip offs are and how to utilizes these. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Inclusive and Exclusive ORS
In the previous lecture we looked at Adjectives and adverbs what they are how to spot them and how to utilize them in your work as an NLP Practitioner so let’s continue on now all the way to the end of this lecture on the Inclusive and Exclusive OR and see how these fit together. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Ordinals
Welcome to this lecture on Ordinals as we near the end of our spell in Linguistic presuppositions. In the previous lecture we looked at the inclusive and exclusive OR and spoke about the difference between the two of these, so you can get a feel for how you would spot them and use them with a client so let’s now move on to do the same for the Ordinals presupposition. Milton Model
Milton Model Overview
You are probably seeing now how important the conscious use of language is when dealing with clients as an NLP Practitioner. So now we are going to continue on with some more language skills, and specifically the Milton Model which is the linguistic tool that I use in Hypnosis & NLP sessions and can be used very successfully to influence and persuade people and speak to the unconscious mind. In fact I can’t imagine attempting to do NLP without knowing Milton model language patterns. You will find that your results come a lot quicker when you are using this The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Mind Reads
As you learned in the previous lecture, the Milton model is an incredibly powerful way of communicating that opens up the client’s unconscious mind to the idea of suggestion and possibility so in this lecture and the coming ones we are going to look at the linguistic patterns of the Milton model and I will give you some examples as well that you can adapt and use with your clients So here they are. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Lost Performatives
In the previous lecture we looked at mind reads, and I know you have taken all of that on board and you will learn all of these easily now as we move on to the next linguistic tool of the Milton model the Lost performative which is where someone makes a value judgment, but the performer of the judgement is not identified. So let’s look into this in a bit more detail now. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Cause and Effect
In the previous lecture we look at the lost performative, where a value judgment is made but the performer of the value judgment isn't specified. And that’s good. So let’s move on now and look at the Cause and effect. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Complex Equivalence
In the previous lecture we looked at the cause and effect Milton model language pattern and how it can be used to open the clients mind to the idea of change and possibility and can also push them away from effect and closer to the cause side of the cause and effect equation, and I think If you use this with your clients as when you are working with them then you will start to see some real shifts in their way of thinking. OK so on-wards now then to the next in our list. The complex equivalence. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Pre-suppositions
We just looked at the complex equivalence a moment ago and I gave you a few examples of how to utile this when working with someone, so let’s move on now to the Pre-suppositions which is similar to what we covered in linguistic presuppositions yet instead of using these as indicators in a client, we can actually use these within the Milton model to assist with change so let’s take a look. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Universal Quantifiers
In the last lecture we looked at Presuppositions and I am sure you were able to see how you could use these to help a client make changes in their life. So let’s carry on now and in this lecture, we will be covering two more of the Milton model language patterns as we have already covered a lot of the meaning attached to these in earlier lectures. So coming up. Universal quantifiers and Modal operators. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Intonation
Before we continue on with our study into the Milton Model language patterns I thought I might just break the section up a little with something that I think you find really helpful and useful when you are dealing with people and making suggestions to them and that is Intonation. You see you can say the same thing in different ways to give a statement a completely different meaning. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Nominalisation & Unspecified Verbs
In the previous lecture we looked at Universal quantifiers such as all and everything as well as Pre-suppositions as Milton model language patterns. We also built up our phrase to include all of the patterns we have used so far. So next we are going to look at Nominalization and Unspecified verbs The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Tag Questions
In this lecture we are going to cover tag questions which we can use to linguistically encourage agreement. And then we will look at the Lack of Referential Index which is a wonderfully ambiguous linguistic pattern that connects straight to the unconscious mind with very little resistance. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Lack of Referential index
In the previous lecture we looked at the TAG question and how you might use that in your speech and communication to displace resistance and encourage agreement. And next we are going to look at the Lack of Referential Index. Now a Lack of Referential Index is a generalization where in a statement a part of the listeners experience isn't identified. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Comparative deletions & Pacing current experience
In this lecture we are going to carry on right now with comparative deletions and then we will look at pacing current experience both of which engage the unconscious mind and help us to reduce resistance in a client so let’s take a look now. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The Double Bind
In this lecture I want to show you a linguistic technique that frankly could be used for good and also be a favorite tool in the arsenal of a linguistic super villain. And this is the double bind. Now. Double binds are hugely powerful and are awesome in negotiations and you just need to remember ecology OK and use this linguistic tool with integrity. So let’s get into the detail now and you will see what I mean. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Conversational Postulates
In the previous lecture we looked at the extremely powerful double bind and how to use it positively and for good. I also gave you a couple of examples of negative double binds for illustrative purposes. Now these do crop up, so I would really get good at spotting those OK. And now we are moving on in our Milton model journey to Conversational Postulates. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Extended Quotes and selection Restriction Violations
In the previous lecture I showed you and we spoke about conversational postulates which are those interesting linguistic patterns that almost become a command through the use of a yes, no question. They really are quite unusual and useful if you really get to grips with them. And now we are going to look at two more linguistic patterns in the Milton model and these are Extended quote and Selection Restriction violations. Which I have to say I love… and they are really good at connecting to the unconscious mind The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Phonological ambiguities syntactic ambiguities etc
So far, we have covered a lot of language patterns within the Milton model and in the previous lecture we looked at the extended quotes and selection restriction violations I hope you take those and go and have some fun with them. And speaking of fun, I love these next language patterns … the ambiguities. . These are awesome for by passing the conscious mind with a client. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Utilization
Welcome to this brief lecture on utilization. And I think, as an NLP Practitioner you always want to be aware of the client’s model of the world and this linguistic pattern is going to help you to do that and then we are going to move on to the power of metaphors OK. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
NLP Embedded Commands
In this lesson we are going to talk about embedded commands. First of all, what is an embedded command? It sounds rather sinister, doesn't it? And I suppose it could be, in the wrong hands. So let’s remember that one of the first premises of NLP is that our results should be targeted toward the greatest good for all concerned. Then, too, it’s good for all of us to be aware of these methods, so that if someone were to try to use these techniques on us for their own ends, we can pick up on that and continue to make our own choices. As a matter of fact, we do encounter embedded commands all the time…. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
NLP Metaphors
Overview of Metaphors
Everyone likes a good story and metaphors are just that, they are stories with a purpose. That purpose being to displace conscious resistance in a client, and to covertly provide suggestion of choice to a client at the unconscious level to. connect to the unconscious mind and provide new possibilities. So let’s take a look at how you might use these powerful stories to get results in your life. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Creating a metaphor
Metaphors are awesome if you are working with kids as well. I have two little girls and one of them went through a stage when her behavior wasn't quite what I hoped so each evening I would tell her a metaphor about chippy the mouse (her favorite cuddly toy) and sleepy mole and I would do that as her bed time story and you know what? She took those stories off to bed with her and her behavior improved dramatically. So in this lecture I am going to show you the process for creating a metaphor and you absolutely can design a metaphor for pretty much any presenting problem that someone brings to you… The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The Meta Model
Overview of the Meta Model
The meta model, is an NLP technique developed from studying the work of Virginia satir, it is a chunking down technique, a technique for getting more specific that as an NLP practitioner we can use to recover lost information from the deep structure of our experiences. In the NLP communication model we discuss how we delete and distort and generalize our experience based on our filters including values, beliefs, and meta-programs for example. Bearing in mind to change behavior we need the client to be change their internal representations of events, or experiences. Wouldn’t it be great if you could do that and discover lost information through a straight forward linguistic technique? Imagine if you could show your clients, new choices through simple questioning, and open up options for them in their lives that would be pretty awesome wouldn't it… SO let’s look at how we can do that. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
The Meta Model Distortions
If you recall from earlier in the course, when we have an experience we delete distort and generalize that experience to create the perception that we hold to be real in our internal representations. And using the meta model we are often able to recover lost information from that experience once we are able to identify whether data from that experience has been deleted distorted or generalized. So let’s start with the distortions and how to spot these in someone’s communication. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Meta Model Generalisations
Universal Quantifiers Modal operator’s possibility impossibility necessity Hi there and welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at the meta model distortions and the challenges to use when you spot them, and in this lecture, we are going carry on with our study into the meta model by taking a look at generalizations. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Meta Model Deletions
What you will find as you start to use NLP is that using these challenges becomes second nature, and I think you might want to make that your goal, and the best way of doing that is to use these challenges as often as you can and observe the results which can quite interesting at times. OK so now let’s look at Deletions and again I will show you the violations and then I will show you how to challenge those linguistically. The Certified NLP Practitioner Certification training program that takes you from beginner to advanced NLP
Anchoring in NLP - Neuro-Linguistic Programming
What is Anchoring
Now we are going to delve into a more practical NLP technique that will enable you or a client to access positive, empowered, and motivated states in an instant. So imagine now how good it would be to always have complete control of your state so that if you feeling a bit fed up, you can change that straight away, really quickly and feel however you prefer instead. Well that’s what is coming up now,
History of Anchoring Twitmyer
In this lecture am going to show you some of the history and background to this amazing technique that can help quite literally anyone to manage their state, feel more positive, and consequently achieve more. This is a great technique, and, in this lecture, I want to recognize someone who has been somewhat overlooked yet was instrumental to the development of this technique
History of Anchoring Pavlov
In the previous lecture we looked at the influence of Edwin Burkett Twitmyer on the development of anchoring. And I think Twitmyer has had a pretty rough deal where recognition for his work is concerned and in fact there even a lot of NLP Practitioners that don't know about poor old Twitmyer because a great many people skip over his contribution and credit the man we are just about to discuss instead. And I am fairly confident you will have heard of him…
4 Steps to Anchoring
Anchoring has its roots in some fairly heavy-duty research from some highly respected people and this fact can be quite useful for clients and can work as a convincer which will help them to get good results with anchoring so it’s useful to know where these techniques come from. So in this lecture I would like to introduce you to the PAST model, which you can commit to memory and will assist you in remembering the key steps to anchoring as you are working with people. So let’s look at what that is and how it all fits together.
5 Keys to successful Anchoring FRU
We have learnt the steps involved in anchoring and now we are going to look at the five keys to producing a successful anchor. When we are working with anchoring there are a number of to consider and again I have a useful MODEL which you can use to remember these keys and to ensure you get great results. And that is the FRUIT Model Which stands for Frequency or number of times, Replication, Uniqueness, Intensity and Timing. So let’s look at each of these in turn.
The i & T of Fruit
Naturally occurring and constructed states for anchoring
In the previous lecture we looked at FRUIT and how that relates to the 5 essential keys to anchoring which you probably want to commit to memory to that you can always be sure that your anchors are going to be good ones. And now we are going to look at the different types of states that we can use for anchoring, so, what type of states can we recall and link a stimulus to for the purpose of anchoring,
Types of anchors: Visual and auditory & Kinaesthetic anchors
Types of Anchors: What defines a state that can be anchored
Types of Anchoring Technique
So far, we have looked at the PAST model that describes the process of successful anchoring, we have looked at the FRUIT model that describes the keys to successful anchoring and we have looked at the different types of state that can be used to produce a d good strong anchor so welcome to this lecture on the Types of Anchoring techniques available to us in NLP.
Anchoring in Context education
Let’s look at how you might use NLP Anchoring within the Education setting. Now I am sure that everyone has been in a classroom that felt a little lacking in energy. And In the same way as the examples for business, imagine if you could anchor a state of curiosity in your students. A state where they really want to know more.
Anchoring in a Business Context
Let’s have a look at the benefit of anchoring in a couple of different contexts. So Imagine during a meeting if you are talking to your team and the atmosphere in the room is charged and excited, with everyone positive and motivated. Wouldn’t be amazing if you could capture the energy of the room and be able to recall it again whenever you wanted.
Basic Anchoring Techniques Step 1 & 2
Now the time has come for us to go through the actual steps to creating and setting an anchor with a client, and if you look in the resources, you will find a script that you can use as you go through this lecture and that you can use when you're working with people. So Let’s go through that over the next couple of lectures so that you can really take a hold or the process and see how it all fits together.
Basic Anchoring Techniques steps 3 & 4
Let’s carry our journey into the world of anchoring, and in this lecture, we will be looking at the set up and getting into character for successful anchoring, which is something that again I feel is key to successful anchoring yet is very rarely taught.
Basic Anchoring Techniques 5 - 7
Step 5: so next you want to ask the client to recall the positive state we are going to anchor. And remember it’s important that it is a specific instance, a specific time. So here is the line I use again which works very well. ‘Can you recall a time a specific time when you were really X again let’s say motivated. good go back to that time now float down into your body and see what you can see hear what you hear and feel all the feelings of feeling of being really X right now’.
Basic Anchoring Techniques Step 8 & Wrap up
In the previous lecture we went through to the point where we have successfully applied an anchor so in this lecture we need to be sure that the anchor has taken which we do by testing the anchor and then we can wrap up basic anchoring

Strategies
Introduction to Strategies
Welcome to this section on Strategies which is one of my favorite topics in NLP and a really powerful and useful in any context or area of your life. In fact we use strategies for absolutely everything. All the things we do are as a result of running a strategy. So a strategy is a set of internal and external experiences or representations that consistently lead to a specific outcome. So why would you want to know about strategies.
What can we do with Strategies
So we have just had a look at an overview of strategies. And I am sure you are keen to get stuck in to them. So in this lecture Lets have a look at what you are going to do when working with strategies, and I have a new mnemonic for you to remember to help you along with that and then we will look at what actually makes up a strategy its components and elements.
Why Elicit Strategies
Run through a strategy
OK so that gives you a good overview of strategies, so let’s get into more detail now and look at each of the parts or components of a strategy and how they all fit together. So to recap, a strategy is a sequence of internal or external representations that consistently lead to a specific outcome. So first let’s look at the components of a strategy.
Strategy components and elements
So let’s explore this example in a bit more detail so that you can see how all of the component parts fit together and how the strategies nest and overlap. And first lets cover the actual components of a strategy in a little more detail so the components of a strategy you have encountered already in this course and they are the sensory based elements that we looked at in sub-modalities the Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Olfactory and gustatory elements that when organized in a certain way, or in a certain sequence create the strategies that we run.
Strategy Components and elements continued
Representational systems link to strategies
In this lecture I thought it would be useful to expand on this relationship between strategies and representational systems because I think it important for you to know this for when you design and install strategies in particular so let’s look at how strategies relate to representational systems now.
the TOTE model
In the previous lecture I showed you how a strategy is formed of a number of separate components that come together to build up a strategy that produces behavior and to help you understand this we have the TOTE model. So what is the TOTE model, well TOTE stand for trigger, or test, Operate, test Exit. Which is the functional process that a strategy goes through from start to finish.
Convincer types
In the previous lecture I showed you the TOTE model and how you can use this as a reference for working with Strategies and which describes how a strategy actually functions. And if you recall we ran through our example of making a purchase from initial interest all the way through to actually making a transaction and buying in our case an LCD screen. And once we have done that, then we start up a whole new strategy as part of the overall buying strategy and that is the convincer strategy of which there are 4 so let’s look at these now.
Decision Making Strategy
Conditions for a well formed strategy
In this lecture, I want to share with you the conditions for a well-formed strategy that need to be met if you want that strategy to be really effective. SO we will go through that in a moment and then we will look at the link between rep systems and strategies in a little more detail
Formal Strategy Elicitaton
In the last few lectures we have looked at how a strategy is built up and how all of its components and elements fit together and are linked to the representational systems. So now what we are going to do is go through how to actually determine someone’s strategy and there are a couple of ways of doing this and in this lecture, we are going to start with the Formal Strategy elicitation
Strategy Elicitation with Eye Patterns
Ways to Change a strategy
Installing a strategy with eye patterns
common issues with the Decision Making strategy
In the previous lecture I showed you through a demo of a decision-making strategy elicitation. And as you probably saw it was pretty straight forward, we spoke about the modalities prior to that and what to look for in terms of internal and external elements of the strategy and I thought it would be a good idea to talk you through some of the issues that may come up from time to time when you are dealing with decision making strategies. Now these certainly don’t come up very often, however if they do or if you start to get confused by the way a client runs a strategy then it is a good idea to have this knowledge to hand so let’s look at some of those issues now.
common issues with the Motivation Strategy
Learning & Spelling strategies
Welcome to these bonus strategy sessions, and by now you have a good grasp on strategies, we have looked at a lot of stuff and talked through strategies a fair bit now, and you have had a couple of demos as well. So I wanted to go a little deeper and share with you some specific tips for working with strategies for learning. And if you work with kids or are planning to work with kids then you will find this particularly useful and then I am going to share with you one of the most amazing techniques EVER that will enable you to take someone that has difficulty spelling, maybe even someone labeled as dyslexic and turn them into an A star spelling expert in virtually no time all and all of that is coming up and first! Learning strategies…
Elicitation Questions for learning strategies
In this lecture I am going to share with you an amazing technique that will enable you to take someone who believes that they can’t spell at all. WHO may even have been diagnosed as being dyslexic and transform them into absolutely first class super spellers, and just before we do that I want to give you a few example questions that you can ask people to elicit their learning strategy.
The Spelling Strategy
In this lecture I want to show you an awesome technique that I first learned from TAD James and that is the spelling strategy which I promise you if you know anyone who has struggled in the past with spelling, if you use this strategy with them you will see one of the best results I think you can get in NLP. It’s really that good.
Why learn Reframing
In the previous lectures we wrapped up strategies, which was a fairly big topic and lots of great stuff to learn in that section and I hope you will start to elicit some of these strategies as you go about your day to day, so that you get really good at spotting them, feeding them back, and shifting them. So in this section we are going to look at a great NLP Topic. / Re-framing. And It’s a fairly big topic in its own right. Certainly at master practitioner level there is a lot of content on re-frames., in fact the co-creators of NLP even wrote an entire book on the subject. SO let’s get stuck into one of the most flexible tools for shifting perceptions simply in general conversation.
Reframing
Types of Reframes
In the previous lecture we had a look at the overview if you like to re-framing in NLP. And I mentioned in that re-framing is a really flexible way of communicating that enables people to see new opportunities and perspectives. SO in this lecture I want to show you the different types of re-frames and then we will go into a little more detail for each of these.
Context Reframes
Welcome back to your journey into the world of re-framing, and I have just given you a few examples of how a re-frame might help so in this lecture I want to go a little deeper and link up some of the stuff you have already learn from the language section to re-framing
Content Reframes
In the previous lecture we looked at context re frames and how we can give new meaning to an event simply by re framing the situation and leading the client to consider things from a different view point and in the lecture, I want to show you how you can do similar things with the actual content of the situation so how we go about re framing the content to give it an alternative meaning.
Reframing process
In the previous couple of lectures I showed you the content and the context re frames and gave you a couple of examples of when you might use these. And in this lecture, I want to show you the actual process that I work through in my mind kind of real time for evaluating a reframe. And this is a process that you can learn and commit to memory which makes the whole thing really easy
The NLP model of therapy
In this lecture we will take a look at the typical therapy model for use with NLP. It’s the general structure of a session that I run when I am with a client and you will probably want to do something very similar.

Parts Integration
Parts Integration overview
In this section, we are going to look at parts integration which I know you are going to love. Parts integration is a hugely popular intervention that has a truly magical outcome. The energy that this process produces is really something else, when we do this in a live training the temperature of the room soars it really does
Parts integration step1 -4
In this lecture, I want to show you the exact process for a parts integration and we will go through this step by step so that you can get a good feel for the process. OK if you haven't already got your sheet from the resources, now would be a good time to do so, so have that at the ready and let’s get started.
Parts Integration steps 5-10
In the previous lecture we learned how to identify the conflict, determine how that is a problem, position the client for the process and how to invite out the conflicting parts and we invited out one part and asked the client which hand that part would like to stand on and next we need its conflicting part to do the same
Parts Integration 11 - end
Let’s just have a quick recap of where we are in the process of parts integration so we have Identified the conflict, determined how that is a problem, positioned the client for the process and invited out the conflicting parts , we asked the client to thanks the parts that are now standing on each hand, we identified which of the parts is the unwanted part and we then chunked up the purpose of that part to its highest purpose being careful to pop through any unconscious boundary that the client may have. So now we can carry on with the process all the way to the end…
The Fast Phobia Model
Overview of the Fast Phobia Model
Hi there and welcome back and in this section, we are going to be going through a technique that gets a lot of press, you may even have seen it demonstrated on the television before now. And that is the, Fast Phobia Model So the Fast Phobia Model is a technique for getting rid of irrational fear and phobias and a technique that can be used with people who come to you with conditions such as Post traumatic Stress disorder as well. So why would you want to learn about the Fast Phobia model let’s take a look.
Overview of the process
Hi there and welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at the big picture overview of what the Fast Phobia is and why it is such a popular topic in NLP. The results are amazing, and it is truly some of the ‘magic’ of NLP that as I mentioned gets a lot of press. SO, in this lecture I am going to give you an overview of the process you are about to learn so that you can start to get a feel for the process. SO, let’s take a look.
How do you do the Fast Phobia Model
OK so welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at an overview of the process of the fast phobia model and I am sure that you are looking forward to getting stuck into it, so let’s look at the actual Fast Phobia process and how we do it so that we get really awesome results.
Using a trauma scale
Hi there and welcome back and in the previous lecture we ran through the process for doing the fast phobia model and there is quite a bit to take in, so you might want to watch that lecture over a few times. Now you will recall in that lecture I said that you simply repeat the process until there are no feelings attached to the original event. And in a moment, I am going to show you how I do that with a trauma scale, and just before I do, I wonder if you have noticed the absolute gift those people who are skeptical at the beginning of the process gave you? Well when you asked them how many sessions they thought they would need to get rid of a phobia, they probably gave you an answer of 5 or 6 session right? Well guess what? As you run through the fast phobia model, refer to it as a session and now you know how many times you will need to run through the process until there are no more feelings associated to the event… which as it happens is typically a smaller number of times that you would typically run through the process anyway. Ok so let’s now have a look at the trauma scale and how you assess how effective the process has been.
5 Step Sales Process
Communicate your ideas
HI There and welcome back and in the previous lecture I showed you the Fast Phobia model, which is an awesome tool for truly helping people in their lives that I know you will get a lot of benefit from. In fact, you could make a very successful business just from that one technique and many people do actually. So welcome to this section which if you are in business is going to knock your socks off. This is the 5-step sales process and in it I am going to show you the sure-fire steps for increasing your prospects, increasing your sales, saving your valuable time and making more money. SO, stick with me now all the way to the end of this section and let’s get started.
Establishing Rapport in the sales process
OK so welcome back to the 5-step sales process and did you try on my perception of sales? And how did it fit? Let me ask you when you want to buy a new item of clothing, and you hunt around the shops for it, and ultimately you find the perfect item of clothing. How do you feel? You feel great right? And you part with your cash willingly and feel good for doing so, walking out of the shop with precisely what you wanted don't you? So how would you feel if you found out that there was a store you went in that had that item, and they hid it away from you and didn't let you know that they had it there well you would be a bit miffed wouldn't you? Well that is the kind of mindset you want when you think about sales OK? So, let’s get into each of the steps right now.
Ask questions
Hi There and welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at rapport in a sales environment and I shared with you my tricks for getting any sales meeting off to a flying start. And that starts with establishing rapport. I really wouldn't go on to this next step asking questions until you have rapport, so I have a few questions that you can ask your prospect so let’s take a look at them now. And then coming up I will show you how to artfully dodge objections and leave the customer ready to buy. So lets get started.
Establish a need...its not all about need
Hi There and welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at identifying the person who has the authority to make decisions about buying what you have to offer, and I think you really want to take the time to do your best and get yourself in front of that person. It isn't always possible however you can still appeal to them if you are smart about how you ask your questions OK. SO now we have built rapport, we have asked some questions, and we have established who is going to actually make the decision to buy our product or service, so the next thing is often referred to as establishing a need. However, I don't go with that particularly as you are about to find out.
Link value to a need
Hi There and welcome back and in the previous lecture I showed you how establishing a need may have nothing at all to with a need, and it could just be a want or a desire, so although this process is always taught with the component of establishing a need just be mindful that there may not be a need at all, just like when I buy guitars. OK so the next step in the process I am linking value to the product and need want or desire. SO, let’s take a look.
Ask for the order & Handle objections
OK, so welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at establishing a link between the product and service value and the need want or desire of the client. So, the next thing we are going to do is deal with any potential objections before we ask for the business. And this is Important as you are about to see, because what I want to show you now is a way for the prospect to convince themselves that they should place the order with you, ethically and covertly. So, let’s take a look.
The 4 major types of objections
Hi There and welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at asking for the order from your prospect and I think it’s worth repeating that, you know if you have done everything that I have described in this section, the chances are that the prospect is going to buy from you OK. However, you WILL get objections, even if they are really objections or not, some people just want to give you them, so you are going to want to know how to handle them, so let’s get to it.
NLP in Context
NLP in Business
Let’s take a look at how NLP is useful in a business context. Improving my results in business has been a big motivator for me in terms of learning and applying NLP. And NLP fits into the world of business really well indeed. Just about every area of business can benefit from a knowledge of NLP. So let’s just take a look at a few of these areas and touch upon some of the benefits of using NLP within the work or business arena.
NLP in Coaching
Ok so to NLP in Coaching, Now the market for coaching is growing very quickly indeed and is doing so all over the world. And it’s not surprising really, in today’s fast paced world we are continually bombarded with information and we are all ways 'ON' with most people very rarely taking time to just stop and evaluate how things are going. So lets look at how NLP helps in the coaching world.
NLP in Personal Development

NLP in sales
NLP Negotiation model
Overview
OK so welcome to this lecture on negotiation, and I am going to go little off track from the standard NLP negotiation model in this lecture as I want you to benefit from some of my experience here. Over the years I have done a LOT of negotiating, both in my business life and personal life so what is coming up is the standard NLP negotiation model, with a little twist. And what I am going to do actually, is speak to you about negotiation with someone and also how to be a third party in negotiations …. a mediator if you like in the middle of two parties negotiating so let’s take a look.
Establish common Ground
Hi There and welcome back and in the previous lecture I we spoke about intention for negotiating and I think it’s really important that you stick to you guns on that. As we will find out shortly there is a fundamental principal in negotiating which people miss a lot of the time. And if you have two people that are stubborn and simply want to win then you will not get very far in your mediation of negotiation and its best left alone. So let’s look at that fundamental point now and also establishing common ground.
Lateral chunking to gain agreement
OK welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at the importance of establishing common ground in negotiations and I can’t stress this enough, if you haven't established this common ground, and a positive intention for the negotiations that both parties can agree on, then you must keep going until you get it. And you always will if you keep chunking the process up. OK so the next stage is to deal with the details of the negotiation that have been the sticking point so let’s take a look at how we do that now.
Negotiation Extras
OK welcome back and as promised I have decided to give you a couple of extras which will help in negotiation, which I have used and still use on a regular basis and they serve me well and are just a small example of what I teach in my negotiation training. So I am sure you will like them so let’s take a look.
The Meeting Format
Hi there and welcome back an in this lecture we are going to look at something known as the NLP meeting format. And again I have added some of my secrets if you like to boost up this process and ensure that you only have meetings that deliver results.so let’s take a look. I think first thing to mention is that meetings are really costly, in terms of investment, they cost a fortune. If you have 5 people in a typical meeting, you have just lost a day that you will never get back. So my advice to you is to get the very best out of your meetings and this is how you do it.
